| Some things not alllowed to export to Canada from US can be exported GB,etc | | Yesterday I was thinking of getting an Italian software program and although we can order the Rosetta Stone, the price is a little high. The one I want was taken out of our Future Shop store, and although we do get Chinese, Japanese, French, etc. it seems that Italian is the forbidden language. I guess it is because Canada is left leaning, and is into diversity and oriental, but what is wrong with the Italians? Now the point I am getting is that I checked and it seems that software is one of the products not allowed to come into Canada from the States, yet they can import it to Australia, Austria, Chile, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Taiwan, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, United Arab Emirates etc. There are a lot of other products that certain stores in the States cannot ship to Canada that ranks out with such countries known for their unstable governments.
Now I ask you why is Canada not listed among such countries as Australia, Austria, etc. I mean did our government send out its welcome wagon to people of diverse backgrounds that now we are... | |

Early on Sunday, the hackers defaced the official Web site on pages reserved for Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon with slogans accusing the United States and Israel of killing children. The United Nations quickly removed the hackers' messages and on Monday stopped updating the site while the system was assessed, UN spokeswoman Michele Montas said. In addition to the main UN site, the web pages for the Economic and Social Council and the Paris Web site of the UN Environment Programme were also attacked, Montas said. She said UN investigations were underway and "quick action was taken to prevent damage to the computer system." Key financial information was not affected, she said.
