I use it because I can check my account from home, and work out my budget each month, and pay bills without going to the bank. Also, I use it to transfer money to my kids' trust funds. | | Online banking: Is it worth it? | | I've heard alot lately about online banking for savings account and certificates of deposit. Has anyone tried online banking in this capacity? Are the rates really that stellar? I've only looked around a little bit and from what I seen you need a larger sum of money, a thousand to twentyfive hundred, to earn the best rates. If you just want to open a savings account or certifcate of deposit with a hundred dollars you really aren't doing much better. (At least not better then the two percent at my local bank for one year certificates of deposits.) If you do have a great rate online, can you recommend a bank site? Thank you very much. | |

| How safe is Online Banking | | I want to know how safe is online banking. Many of the computers will have viruses, trojans, worms which may not be detected by antiviruses. Not all the malwares are detected by a single antivirus, some are detected by only some antivirus. So we might be harboring lot of viruses, keyloggers in our computer. So there is a possibility of your login informations are sent to some remote person. I have not used online banking till now, I want to know how safe it is. Please let me know. | |

| In online banking | | I heard that Paypal account is a very easy way to get online money. But till now i do not get any experience to this. In my paypal account i have a few amount. but till now i do not get this in my bank account. and i am waiting to increase this amount by my efforts. So it is easy to get money in this account. but transfer this money in our local bank account it is difficult for me. | |
