| | long time at repair shop | | My son has a Honda Prelude that has been off the road for about 8 months. A month and half ago we had our local repair shop come and pick it up so that they could put it on the machine to see what is wrong with it. When I went up there to ask about them doing it they told me that it should take no more than half to an hour to diagnose it. Well its been over a month and we have heard nothing. We have called up there several times to check on it but they keep saying they are just sooo busy and short handed that they havent had a chance to look at it. I think they are just putting us off since we didnt say that we wanted THEM to fix it. I want to go and get the car and take it somewhere else. My son says that since they have worked on it before and he paid to have it towed up there and will have to pay to have it towed somewhere else he would rather have them look at it first. What would you do in this situation? Go up there and raise H***? Leave it there and let them take their time with it? What are your thoughts on this?? | |
| | Do you ever feel like the auto repair shop is out to get you? | | I just went to the shop to get my timing chain fixed. Granted, I knew it was going to cost a lot because it was already broken, but when I took it in, they told me it would cost $800 to fix it. After having it for3 days, they called back and said that my head gasket is broken too and now it is going to cost $4,000 dollars. I was in shock and really mad. I was able to talk them down to $3,500, but still, I couldn't believe it. I felt trapped because they had my car apart and would not give it back unless I paid. I did pay and it is working again, but I wish I could find a place that was honest and not out to get my money. Does anbody have any suggestions? And have any of you had the same problem? | |
| | | Who is the most reliable car repair shop? | | Is the dealership the best place to go for car repairs or some other place like a gas station or Pep Boys or Goodyear? Curious to know how others feel. Dealerships seem to overcharge. | |
| | PC PROBLEM... I need help. | | I'm using my laptop now 'cause I don't know what the hell happened to my desktop computer. It suddenly stopped working.I'm not sure how your own CPU looks like but mine has this two little bulbs (I think they call it LED) placed beneath the power button. Usually, when I turn on the CPU, it lights up the GREEN and the RED LED.But recently, I notice that when I turn on the CPU, the only LED that lights up is the RED one. And then the monitor won't display anything.I'm really worried since most of my files are installed on that CPU. Frankly, I want to burst out in tears now.[em]cry[/em]Please help me...What do you think is the problem? What can I do to solve this sh*t? | |
| | Do you repair broken watch, mobile, etc, or just buy another one? | | When your watch is broken or your mobile is not functioning anymore, what do you do, go to repair it or just go to the shop and buy another one, usualy a better product?Myself I buy another one, because here in my country is cheaper to buy one then repair. To small thing of course, but sometimes even to bigger things like television or computers if the part which is broken is more expensive then half price of the new product. What about you? | |

My dog chewed the tongue on one of my new, expensive running shoes. I hoped to save my investment, so I took the sneakers to a local shoe repair shop. I placed them on the counter and told the man, "My dog got hold of this." The repairman picked up the shoe, looked it over, and placed it back down on the counter. "Well, what do you recommend?" I asked. He looked at me and replied, "Give your dog the other shoe."

| | What are your unfulfilled desires? | | Is there something you've been longing to do? A place you want to go but haven't? Is there something you want to do but don't think you'll get to do it? I just want to travel and see as much as I can. I also want to learn how to play the violin. | |
