YAY!!!!! | | Walker bought a new refurbished Windows XP PC today (he just went to bed so now I'm using it) and my Vista laptop is probably going to be back from the repair shop tomorrow. I'm so glad the dang thing was still under warranty when it blew a power port. Walker has wanted a new computer for a while, and we found a cheap one at a store we'd never heard of, on the way to the UPS store to mail off my defective laptop. The great part is that if my laptop hadn't blown, we would have never found a computer for Walker! There really is a silver lining in every cloud. Anyone else have any good news to share today? | |
| | do you have any weird or unforgettable story about shoemakers or shoe repairs? | | they were my first original sneakers: a new white pair of FILA sneakers years ago. the soles repelled later so i brought them to the nearest shoe repair shop. i instructed the shoemaker to stick them back and sew each shoe around. he gave me the schedule so i returned to collect them. he said that he forgot them in their house so i returned the next time. i haven't found him so i asked his mom. she shrugged her shoulders telling me that my shoes might have been sold because her son was taking some crap. i was totally helpless and regretful but i couldn't do anything about it anymore.
here in thailand, i bought a pair of good leather shoes but after a few months, the rubber on the heels needed replacement. i went to the shoe shop and asked the shoe repair man to replace it. he gave me the date to collect and i returned as scheduled. i was speechless seeing that the workmanship was a disaster! the rubber replacement was as thick as the tractor's wheel. i'm not exaggerating but it really looked awful!!! i grabbed my shoes and left with a very sad face. i almost broke into tears but they won't do anything to make my shoes look much better. the surface of the heel of each shoe even... | |
| | The repair had done a poor job, the check engine light is on again | | Oh my gosh, the check engine light of the car is on again, and it is Sunday, I couldn't do anything since the shop is closed. On Friday, my car was dead, and I had it towed to the repair shop to get it fixed. They told me the alternator is dead, and I need to replace another one. I paid $500 for it, and after they get it fixed. After 2 days, the Check Engine light is on again. I have to work tomorrow morning, and I afraid the car might fail on the way to work. Gosh, those mechanic really done a poor job, and I have to bring back my car to have them check it for me one more time. That just stress me out again. | |

| | Did you ever get robbed?/ Robbery stories | | I personally, never got robbed in life, but that's maybe because I don't wander around the wrong streets that much, also I am a quick judge and good observant, although sometimes it just can't be escaped...My friend did get robbed, he lost his cellphone in thanks to the two jackasses, story goes like this:He was walking through a plaza in the afternoon, going back home after band practice, and he was just minding his own business, when two (stereotype incoming) black guys asked him the time, he didn't have a watch so he said that he didn't have the time (alright), and then they asked "how about your cellphone's clock?", the guy without thinking just pulled it out of his backpack and then the smaller black guy picked up a rock and asked him to let go or he got his head f*cking bashed in, he gave it to them, the bigger black guy said "thanks." and now we are hoping he's dead or getting raped continuously in some alley. Thank god he wasn't with his bike when that happened, he had just left it at the repair shop.What about you? | |

(Since most of the other mylotters are from Christian religion, I am telling this as an example, and not to hurt any religious feelings).If this priest sees some devotees coming into the temple, he will just make the woman stand by the side, where the devotees will not be able to see her, and then do the puja, and once again start having sex with her.This man had the bad habit of filming all the sexual acts in his mobile phone, and when he gave the mobile phone for some repairs, the man who was running the repair shop, made some CD's of this sexual act, and started selling them. Unfortunately this was found out by a magazine, and published. The police woke up, and now the priest is behind bars.

| | Corrupted File Ended My Computer's Life. | | What a nice evening! Before I got to hold the computer because my brother finished his turn, suddenly the screen blacked out! And said, "missing or corrupted hll.dll"! I tried to reformat my hard disk but it doesn't boot at all, I tried borrowing another hard disk to be the primary and test if the problem is on it. And guess what? It still doesn't boot! Now I'm frustrated and don't know where's the problem, I concluded that it had damaged the motherboard also. What a lucky day right? Just because of a corrupted file my computer ended it's life. Tomorrow I'll go to the repair shop to have them look at it. Hope that the warranty should be used. Beware of corrupted files! | |
